Fears missing cat ‘may have been shot’

A SHEFFIELD woman is appealing for help in tracing her pet cat which has gone missing and she fears may have been shot.

Joanne Jenkinson, aged 30, of Cadman Street, Mosborough, has not seen Kindy, who turns five in September, since July 11.

She said despite searching for the cat - a Ragdoll - and registering him as missing with the RSPCA, police and other organisations she has been unable to find him.

She also claims to have heard from local residents about cats and pigeons being shot at in the area.

“I am hoping that he is still alive and that he hasn’t been deliberately shot at to either kill or maim,” said Joanne.

“I just wish somebody would let me know where he is so that I know what has happened to him because it is the not knowing which is really hard.

“My next door neighbour’s cat was shot this time last year and another neighbour’s cat went missing in April and has not been found, her other cat was shot in May and another of her cats was shot on July 15. We have spoken to the police and RSPCA and without more evidence there is nothing they can do.”

Anyone with information should call Joanne on 07715 002466.
