Cats killed in cattery fire

It is 10 days since 15 cats were killed in a fire at Pinetrees Cattery near Cannock in Staffordshire UK. The wooden buildings were about 15 years old but with no in-built fire protection systems. It is believed that up to 5 cats may have escaped into the wild although it is feared that they may have been badly burned. It is difficult to imagine the horror of being enclosed as the fire took hold with the helpless cats desperate to avoid the flames. Investigation into the cause of the fire has revealed there may have been an electrical fault.
