Feline intuition

From James Le Fanu in the Daily Telegraph a story of how 50 years ago in Kingston Jamaica with a hurricane about to blow the family cat brought her kittens into the house. As the family were waiting for the disaster to strike the cat picked up the kittens one by one. The father of the household announced that the predicted hurricane would miss the island having watched her performance. The cat was right the hurricane veered off course and missed the island.
