Missing Cats Not Reported

New research has found that little more than one in ten people will report their pet missing to the authorities. That is despite almost a quarter who believe their animal was 'petnapped'.

Research from Sainsbury's Pet Insurance found that an estimated 2.8 million cat and dog owners have had their family pet go missing in the last five years. 22% believe their animal was stolen.

  1. I know people leave it a few days expecting the cat to come back and then feel silly going to the police. If there is a pattern of missing cats how are the police going to know?
