David Cameron announces that after a slow start as a hunter, Larry the Downing Street cat has killed his first mice Larry the cat is finally doing the job he was brought to do in Downing Street by making some kills, David Cameron has confirmed.
The prime minister also said on ITV's This Morning that he decided to take a picture of a mouse that has so far evaded Larry's claws as he revealed the infestation at the prime minister's official residence.
"I actually took a picture of one in my flat on my mobile phone, because it was looking at me," Cameron chuckled.
The prime minister gave an update on Larry's performance four months after the tomcat was recruited from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home following sightings of rats outside Number 10.
Larry also made the national papers on Friday after being snapped prowling outside the black front door of Number 10 as photographers prepared to take pictures of Cameron.
