Cat needs medical attention

Eventually we managed to encourage Ginger indoors as he really was a permanent resident now and we had to decide how to get him to the Vets. We had never tried to pick him up and to manhandle him into a cat carrier which seemed like an impossible task. Pat phoned the Vet for advice and although they were helpful - it was really a question of 'see what you can do and bring him over'. Pat organised a strategy by bringing the basket into the hall and putting something comforting on the floor of the carrier. Then came the moment of truth dressed in ski jacket and wearing ski gloves I picked him up from behind and Pat held the carrier at an angle. Sweet as a nut he was inside with no protest but just looking a bit miserable! The strategy was working.
