Fat cats getter fatter in the festive season

Apparently the festive season is a time when cats grow even bigger. This is a time of the year when they are more reluctant to go in inclement weather but their over caring owners fill them with offcuts of turkey and even Christmas pudding. The problem, apparently, are owners who see the cats an extensions of themselves and want to let their pets share the pleasures of the season. A dangerous game for the poor pets who may suffer from liver conditions, lameness and arthritis as a resulting of the over-feeding.
