Kitten abandoned on train still homeless

There is always a story behind an abandoned animal but when a cared for kitten is left on a train in a basket - what is the story? In this case a young red-headed well presented man was caught on camera leaving the kitten and has still not been identified. The basket was left with a litter tray, eight sachets of food and a jumper to keep the kitten comfortable - strange and inexplicable?
