Crews from Northfield were called to Lickey Road in Amblecote, Stourbridge, at 11am yesterday after a woman discovered the distressed moggie in her garden.
“somehow the cat had became wedged between two fence panels,” said a spokeswoman for West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service.
“Fire-fighters carefully managed to get the cat free an then knocked on doors until they found the cats owner.”
The cat was taken to a veterinary service where it was treated for a broken leg, she added.
