Cat strays in large numbers

There have been a large number of reported cat strays in the Lichfield City area. It has been suggested that some cat owners are fearful of the rumours of cat illness affecting humans and are abandoning their pets.

While this has largely been discounted by the scientists now studying the issue in the city this has not stopped some individuals shutting their cats out of their homes or driving them to different areas and leaving them.

Cat Safety advice is if a stray as shown in the photgraph appears on your step feed it by all means but alert the authorities for collection of the animal who will be taken to the holding centres for strays and infected cats.
