The latest Jock the cat has taken up residence at Chartwell, the former home of Sir Winston Churchill. The wartime leader owned a ginger cat that he named after Sir Jock Colville, a personal secretary. On his death, Churchill left wishes that there should always be a cat “in comfortable residence” at Chartwell. The current Jock came from a rescue charity.
